Daylight

Daylight (You are my Sunrise)

I feel the luminous light from the window
touch my light skin with a peaceful warmth
I look over and find i am not alone this morning
the sleep in your eyes brings to my lips a smile
I stay silent, hoping you'll never awaken
so I can stare and wonder all your dreaming

Oh sweetheart, you are my sunrise
go back to sleep, we don't need daylight
feather lightness lingers on my back
sheets and worries as weightless as clouds
I don't want this still sweet moment to end
we don't need...we don't need daylight...
i wish i could make this last...

my hair lays comfortably disheveled on your chest
as i listen to the rise and fall of your breath
my bed is happily messed and thrown about
and I couldn't be more proud that it is...
Because its Love. Because its you, its you.

I watch as you slowly blink and yawn and see me
a soft smile forms on your beautiful sleepy face
your stroke my hair and kiss my forehead and sigh
a sigh so peaceful it could have come from my own soul
legs entangled, hand in hand, we align our eyes
to create a kiss that sums up all of our love.

Oh sweetheart, you are my sunrise
go back to sleep, we don't need daylight
feather lightness lingers on my back
sheets and worries as weightless as clouds
I don't want this still sweet moment to end
we don't need...we don't need daylight...
i wish i could make this last...

you fade off to sleep again...
for I have concealed the sun with curtains
go back to dream, my sunrise, daylight can wait.

Absolutely beautiful Wolf, once again you have amazed me. It was so deep, passionate, and just..gah, wonderfully penned. You've got a very good talent for romantic poetry.
