To walk away from her.....

The last time
I saw her she
left crying knowing
it would be long
before she saw me again

When I realized the
same thing I felt as
though I was thrown
into a lion's den

My feelings for
her were being eaten
away

But then I realized
it was all okay

For though we might
be separated by
thousands of miles
I would always be
with her in her heart
as she would be in mine

An adventure this would be
for the both of us
as if trying to get to
the end of a long line

The line of life and growth
in our friendship
for when we would see each other
again we would feel no
different about each other
as we did before
