The Key

The Key
A poem to my Rose across the sea
(written by John Michael Buns)

She sits there alone at night
for one who is sent from HIS light.
Her heart protected behind emotions walls
cold and hard like those marbled halls.

But heart so in need of Love,
she asks for help from high above.
Her plea is simple though very real,
a man's true love to break the seal.

The treasure she keeps is not for fun,
and there it awaits for her only one.
Passion, sorrow, and devotion without fail,
for the one who's worthy of her holy grail.

She has tried to find him twice before,
instead she found life's wrong door.
She placed her fate in HIS knowing hands,
her hallowed plea upon the sands.

HE guided her to loves new place,
an odd world called Inter space.
Word was spread for the world to see,
far and wide for this man to be.

No thunder came to shake the gravel,
though on lightning waves her words did travel.
So it found him a world away,
she feels she known him everyday.

The words he speaks are from the heart,
and the feeling they would not part.
In his eyes and on the pages,
was true love to last the ages.

Though twice before they played Love's game,
they risk again the burn of it's flame.
To face the flame, what could be worse,
well, not to try is love true curse.

She meets him at night when all is quiet,
talk of weather and what's his diet?
She does not care about the hour,
caught in loves timeless power.

The power of truth and feelings so right,
their words continue throughout the night.
He speaks of things that bring out her fear,
but those same true words that make him dear.

His warmth and love touch her soul,
this peeping tom in hearts keyhole.
He knows the woman behind the wall.
and the gift of love for which he falls.

He found the Key that evades the rest,
for love so true he must pass this test.
He wants for her, not who she can be,
with this she knows he holds her Key.

He will not tell her what to think and do,
he'll love her even when she's sad and blue.
He wants a woman equal and at his side,
not a girl who will quietly run and hide.

He does not care for fame and money,
nor does she need his land of honey.
She says "No, I can't feel this way",
but knows love found her this happy day.

Her head it spins with Love's emotions,
for the man with the Key across the oceans.
His eyes so true they almost speak,
of all loves promises that he will keep.
