Prison boy

A prison boy was freed one day,
To find his lover had gone away.
A few nights later just by chance,
He met her in a local dance.
When he asked the reason why,
To these words she did reply.
If you had lead an honist life,
I would have surely become your wife.
But since youve led a life of crime,
You will sit and do your time.
The next day they found him dead,
Besides his bed the letter read.
Dig my grave dig it deep,
Place two roses at my feet.
To show the world i was a theif,
Between my teeth place a leaf.
Upon my headstone place a turtle dove,
To show the world i died for love.
So listen and bear in mind,
A prison boy is hard to find.
When you find one love him true,
Because a prison boy would die for you.
