Shakespearean Sonnet

by Mimi   Mar 8, 2007

Thou now know-est what this soul hath desire,
What it's cherished since it laid eyes on thee.
Apprehension begs me to retire;
Doubtful regret that bubbles up in me.

For a stretch, I wish-eth to turn back time,
And take back all I had done, said, and wrote,
But my soul cannot commit such a crime
When my life for thine heart I would devote.

Thou mightn't comply to the way I feel
Or the reason that I may-th use now,
But hard as I try, I cannot conceal
The emotions of which I avow.

I know that this love just need-est a chance;
I swear it will be the sweetest romance

    Excellently done. The language seemed to be spot on from what i can remember from my days of studying good ol' William, lol
    On a more serious note, some excellent vocab choices and well done on the format!
