Love Wings(Part 2)

by LostLikeTearsInRain   Mar 11, 2007

Two lovers walk hand-in-hand along a creek bed
Minds race and hearts pound
A love like this has no need for sound
As they continue their walk
They near the edge of a cliff
Spotting this, the boy runs over to it
Spinning around, the boy says,
"Push me"
The girl looks at him like he's lost his mind and says.
"What are you doing? Get away from there!"
She grabs the boy's arm and pulls him away from the edge
She then asks him "What on Earth was that all about?"
The boy says "I'm sorry, it's just that," the boy looks in her eyes
He moves a piece of hair out of her face and then continues,
"When I'm with you, I have this crazy belief that I can fly,
Because a love like ours goes beyond the normal,
I figured I'd give it a try,
And if I were to die, I would die happy knowing I had you"
The girl observes his face, and, smiling, she tells him,
"Baby if our love could make us fly,
We'd have grown wings a long time ago."
The two lovers then turn and walk away into the sunset
With wings flapping behind them
