Remembering the day we first met
The times we spent talking on the phone
When everything was infinite
Nothing else mattered
Just you and me
We made the whole world jealous

Back then... time moved too quickly
The sun set too soon
Our love was impenetrable
But now... things have changed
It's not how it used to be
But somehow, just somehow we survived

The day I left was the biggest mistake of my life
That's the day everything changed
I wanted to turn back time so bad after that

I wanted to hear your voice one last time

Eventually we found our way back together
But it wasn't the same
Not the same comfort I once felt
I looked past it though
Because it was just us again
What I wanted from the start

And yet it happened all over again..
You left me and it hurt so much
A part of me was missing
Everyday I would wait by the phone
Wait for the call that never came
The voice that completed my life in so many ways

After all that we're still together
But its not the same
Same person... different way of loving
I just need you...
Life was so much harder without you near me
I need you because I love you

More than a year
We've been through everything together
Gotten through it all
Through it all together...
We need each other
We need to love each other with all we've got

But this year...
It's been so hard
Some days I played a charade
Putting on a fake smile
When deep down it hurt
Everything hurt

There have been too many tears
Too much sorrow
And yet...
I cant leave
Not you... not ever
I guess... What I'm trying to say is...

Although we can't see each other
Even though I can't fall asleep in your arms
We can't throw my silly stuffed bears at each other
You can't get me mad on purpose then kiss and make up
But we can love each other
As much as we can

I love you too much
Too much to let this all go
We're going to have to work really hard at it
