In the summer

by Luke   Mar 13, 2007

When late time turns to light
to bring upon the sun to shine
and make it so the moon goes blind
and sing upon the wondrous sight

bring feelings of prosperity
and hopeful wings of a bird
to bring the spotlight and correspond
and bring water to our pond

having warm weather to tan and swim
and cook fried eggs on your pan
to have the strong winds at bay
and avoid the thunderstorms in every way

so in the summer we come to say
do not sit down all day and lay
but go outside and ride your horse who eats hay
and have summer come to stay
