Bathed in blood and moonlight

by darkangelcrying   Mar 13, 2007

Brilliant moonlight shining through a window
shadowed by ivory drapes of glowing bathroom tiles bathed in light
night so Bright you know the gods are crying

the door is locked, barred tight
upraised voices screaming in the silence
in pain, utter sorrow, not delight
the air is thick and heavy, with drowning bloody dreams,

broken plastic lay upon the sink
sharpened blade that lay among it missing

crimson stains drip upon the floor
from open wrist and fingertips
bleeding onto moonlit tiles

gleaming water standing still
glazed dead eyes open wide
ice cold arm hangs limp over side
of the water, lapping at still chest

open mouth, drawn it's last breath
I've found peace
even with their screaming horror
to find my corpse lien in the tub
my safety, my life
no more strife
