Driving down a one way street
The sun reflecting in my eyes
Stering wheel gripped with two hands
The radio playing every song that reminds me of you
Your picture on my visor
Your sunglasses on the dash
a box of all your belongs you said you want them back
Driving slowly down your lane
On your porch swing i see you sitting
My car pulls to a hault
and the ignition a turn off
the knot in my throat is growing and the pain is over flowing
I pull you box from my trunk hoping not to cry
slowly up the steps i walk
you take you box out of my hands
gently touch me tear streaked face
i see it in your eyes a single tear on the right
as you whisper i am sorry
i look deep in to his eyes
and see what i have thought
My love was strong enough to build a mountain
strong enough to swim a sea
But his love for me was nothing compared to what i wished i could see
