Black and White

In forests and the darkests depths
a song is heard of lust and longing
Ecchoing in shadows dark
from the silvery moon belonging

Tall and silent stood the trees
alone in shadow, deepest night
An ear long lost in sleep and snow
it reached in strength and saddest might

In great confusion looking up
hearing wordless pray, his call
Beckons in familiar tunes
sung above the trees so tall

Song of ages calls out to her
In silence taking to her feet
Tantalizing, howls caressing
touching her, so soft, so sweet..

Beneath shaded moon hes standing
calling out his unanswered howl
As done so many nights before
to ease his heart at nightly prowl

A silhouette dark as nightsky,
A shape as cut from shards of moon
meeting in an empty forest
where they thought they were alone

Never lonely no more sadness
Day and night allowed to meet
Once as fragments, now entwined
Two souls to be made complete

In forests and in darkest depths
a song is heard of lust and longing
One does ask, the other answers
at last in this world belonging
