This is also a great love poem, life without someone you truly love is just sorrows as u've mention in your 1st stanza thats u saw darkways ahead- nice imagination man- there is a reason why ur my favourites author- thrilling.

Yes, when we have get used to something and we have something precious even a thought of loosing it makes us scare.. It is good to realize what life would be with someone. Many people learn to appreciate their love after loosing it, not before it which very sad.
