A Heart's Hibernation (Awoken)

by Weeping Wolf   Mar 20, 2007

A Heart's Hibernation (Summer Has Saved Me)

It always begins with a smile, and a sun-glazed day
I savor and steal this moment with every side-walk step
in case this is the last time, of the last times
before my heart is sealed, stamped and shipped off again
Let your seasons of innocence stain and splash me alive

You have awoken my heart.

Your sun-soaked hair and clear-coated eyes
lean over my pain-stained expression of goodbye
you embrace me in the sweetest way, of the sweet ways
before I must see the glow and glitter fade away...

You have awoken my heart.

Your eyes ignite my soul's celebration
as you obliterate my heart's hibernation
For this is the best day, of the best days
as two play-mates collide sapphire eyes
never wanting you to wave another goodbye.

You have awoken my heart.

And there we tumble as one, both dressed in white
I dive into a smile, and laugh with all my might
Because you are the best one, of the best ones!
And in this dew-drop, we both look like we feel!

You have awoken my heart.

I watch you spin and smile the sweetest of smiles!
You are the grandest one, of all the grand ones!
Never...never...never...fade away...

You have awoken my heart.
You have awoken my heart.
You have awoken my heart.
You have awoken my heart.
