Out of time, but never out of mind.

You're always on mine.

It's rough because I always try to bluff,

But it's not enough.

The clock keeps ticking away.

We end up missing the day

When we weren't slipping away.

Not having time to be with you isn't healthy.

If "time is money" then I wish I was wealthy.

We can hope for resurrection and keep our friendship alive,

But we're pointing opposite directions like at 3:45.

I want to be closer to you than cousins on that Jerry Springer crap,

Or be tighter though we're apart, like a Chinese finger trap.

But I can't, and that's the simple fact.

But I love you, and I want you to remember that.
