I held you in my arms today
You didn't know it was the last,

The time went by so fast.
We've been best friends forever

We went everywhere together
And drove everyone insane.
We spent so many summers
Playing beneath the sun,
On the sandy beaches
Having so much fun.
You'd never looked at me different

You'd know it was a lie.
Being around you made things easy
Things were not so bad,
You were like my brother
The only one I had.
We grew up together
From two different places,
On the same page
But on different bases.
Yet, that never stopped us
From being best friends,

High school was different
So many problems to face,
But we couldn't face them together
Cause I was replaced.
You met this new girl
You liked her a lot,
You said she was nice
Smart, funny and hot.
I could tell that you liked her
It was easy to see,
The girl in your life
Was no longer me.
You two became close
I wasn't okay,
And when you went out
I didn't like it that way.
I tried to call
But it never got through,
The line was busy
I knew it was you.
You stopped coming over
That wasn't cool,
You were always busy
With homework and school.
And when you had time
You'd go to the mall,
I was never invited
You never bother to call.
But I knew why
Cause you were with her,
I wanted things to be the same
If only they were.
You let go
And I kind of knew why,
We were just friends
And that made me cry.
I secretly loved you
But I never spoke,
Of how, without knowing
My heart you had broke.
She's more important
Because she's your boo,
You left me hanging
With the rest of the crew.
You'd blow us off
Every chance you got,
Between fantasy and reality
I was caught.
We grew apart
It hurt me like hell,
And as much as I wanted

Every once in a while
You'd say hi in the halls,
I'd smile back
But felt like punching the wall.
You two looked happy
I wanted that, too,
But I only wanted it
To be with you.
You spent so much time with her
Like you were obsessed,
Even thought it hurt
I never confessed.
And still, to this day
You don't have a clue,
About what being in love
To me, it would do.
You were so caught up
And so was I,
Being dragged around
Hoping to die.
It's summer again
It's been almost a year,
It's still the same with the
Never ending tears.
So I took some pills
One for every promise you broke,
After a couple of hours
In heaven, I woke.
I had collapsed on the floor
The seizure soon passed,
And of me
That was the last.
You were the last thing
That went through my mind,
You were the hope, the light
That once shined.
You lied when you said
We'd be friends forever,
Look what I did
