Solid Ground

Saddened by the thought
Of having no one around,
She sits and waits
To feel that she's on solid ground.

She's never felt so lonely,
She's never felt so afraid.
Everyone she once loved
Got up and walked away.

While sitting there she wonders
If she'll ever love again
But she knows it will never be the same
Because of everything that's been.
