I honestly do....

by Jade Shadow Rose   Apr 2, 2007

Day by day, hour upon hour,
As the minutes drift away,
I lament in my room,
That I have been kept at bay.

I see you all to seldom as it is,
But you keep my reveries full,
How I long to speak to you,
To merely have your company whole.

Adoring you is my current goal,
I gladly obsess over you, your eyes,
It amazes me still, upon reflection,
That you don't have flocks of guys.

But that I do not know,
Though I wish to find out,
I'd give much to be a simple friend,
But I don't have much to give right now.

I'd normally write about breathe taking beauty,
Angelic traits given to those so seldom it's miraculous,
But for you I cannot speak but simple words,
And not run on with heavy-handed but still true definitions.

I could go on forever about how your eyes,
Like shadows, breed curiosity to such an extent,
That I would gaze into them for hours, given the chance,
To stare into your soul, to see what you lament,

How you hair, as black as the night sky,
Still shines like the stars, and captures my sight,
As the moon melts away in envy, and the sun turns to ash,
And your exquisitely woven shadow flows without spite.

But, back to the point....uh...I cannot recall,
My mind tends to drift when thinking of you,
And though I write this, as a poem, please,
Do not think less of me,
For I can be as dark as any if need be....
