No (My story)

by Barbi Taylor   Apr 4, 2007

A relationship started
For only one reason,
In the month of March
The spring season

Not built on love
Or any such thing
Only for appearance
So the story Does sing.

He was athletic, strong, and fierce
Also so wholesome, not a thing pierced
But he was cocky, full of himself
And he cheated, quick with his mouth

Oh boy, could he lie
And tell stories
He was so good at it
Men gave him glory

She was an artist,
Slightly naive
He thought to himself
"She'll never leave"

The lust cooled off
Into heated disputes
Especially when she discovered the truth

He had been around
All over the place
Explaining the herpes sores
All over his face

Then one night
She had walked in
He was on top of a girl
Committing a sin

But forgive him she did
She took him back
But now the trust was gone
The relationship lacked

Fight after fight
Scream after scream
She only felt happiness
In her Dreams

Then the day came
A whole year had passed
She couldn't believe how long
It had last

He called her stupid
And all kinds of names
She just told him
To go away

Then he came back,
Like he always did
But she had a real plan
To get rid of him

He begged, and he pleaded
"Baby, I am sorry, please don't go"
She smiled at him
And said, "Sorry, but no."
