Drowing

by Carly   Apr 5, 2007

The waves drag me down
taking away my breath
The preassure builds up
and pounds on my chest
I let the current take control
and open my hazy eyes
Why should I fight the sea
when I know I'm going to die?
I knew the consequences
when I had jumped overboard
There's no hope of survival
because I'm miles from shore

The water rocks me gentley
as I slip into the eternal sleep
My body floats lifelessly
as I sink lower into the oceans deep
These seas hold me tighter
than you ever would
It washes away my painful memories
like you never could
This beautiful atmosphere
gives me a sense of release
I'm finally free of your face
and I'm now at peace

*P.S., I wrote this BEFORE that Into the Ocean song came out by Blue October.*
