Broken sweats, heart skips a beat
footsteps echo, drawing near
time has come to face lies and deceit
to sleep in the bed, she made long ago

I can no longer run, no longer hide,
from the secrets I have kept,
this is when my love is whole,
my darling, please accept.

The imagery and word choices are wonderful.
