Ice Heart

by Lenny   Apr 7, 2007

My ice heart is melting
Now its out in the sun
Against snowman the keeper
It seems I have won

Since he stole it that winter
Its been two whole years
With countless wrong suitors
And frozen orb tears

Though I had left him
In that winter grave
Regardless of season
My dreams he would pave

But now it is spring time
And the one who is right
Has brightened my daytime
And taken my night

And in secret searching
He found that ice cave
He tested its rime
And my heart he did save

He pried it from frozen
Hands of Jack Frost
And brought it to sunshine
At dearest cost

For when he took it
And smiled it to life
My captor awoke
Set to make me his wife

He rode cackled avalanche
And beat Mr. Spring
And through my tears
Forced on a ring

And, as I sit here
With diamond iced hate
Out in the sun
Dries my heart and my fate

Though my life is now frosted
And wedding bell rings
I may belong to winter

But I ll always be Springs

Woahhhh, im quite found of this one.
actually, im quite fond of alot of yours, ive read quite a few.
and i really like your writing style.
    (:
this was written really well, but just when I read the sixth verse the flow and rhyme gets a little muddled, but thats easy to fix!
keep writing, i really like your poetry.
