Just another lonely dinner

by Victoria Rainey   Apr 8, 2007

Just another night
Just another fight
Just an ordinary life
Just a tear, running down my cheeks
Just another sets of eyes
Who couldn't see
I loved him very much
But he pushed me aside
Looked at me with despite
The promise that he made
Quickly begins to fade
I scream and shout
No noise came out
Just left alone
Unheard
The laughter,
The loving
Somehow becomes vacant
In the back of my mind
Im giving up on love
Im giving up on you
I pray to the lord above
Prayed to him,"whatever he decides to do,
please help him instead of me
Please stay by his side
It only seem right"
Next morning
I looked out the window
I knew
Just knew
He was really gone
Not in heaven, Not in Hell..
Just gone.. beyond
I smiled because I knew the lord was with him
Instead of me
I can carry on
He wouldn't be able to proceed
Just another day
Just another night
Just another life
Just another lonely dinner
