Perfectly Romantic [[Except She Was Alone]]

by Kelly   Apr 8, 2007

Walking on the beach at night,
How lovely the stars shone,
The moon was the only light,
Perfectly romantic, except she was alone.

The waves washed ashore gently covering her feet,
The cool wind blew with grace,
Her heart was on a steady beat,
Until she saw his face.

She was sitting on the cool soft sand,
Looking up at him,
He smiled and held out his hand,
Softly she took it and began to grin.

She only saw his smile and his shining eyes,
Big and caring,
Bluer than the sky,
Wild and daring.

Hand and hand they walked on the shore,
He held her close and whispered in her ear,
"Your the one I'm looking for,
I wanna be the one who can take away all your fears",

He took her down the beach a bit,
They layed down in the sand,
Next to where a fire was lit,
Her head on his chest and still hand in hand.

She thought "Finally I'm the one in luck."
And she smiled in this scene,
But then she woke up,
And realized it was all just a dream.

Sadly she sighed,
And wished it were true,
Unfortunatly she remembered,
She was dreaming about you.

I love how this poem tells a story, i can relate too. I especially love the ending -

    Sadly she sighed,
    And wished it were true,
    Unfortunatly she remembered,
    She was dreaming about you.

I like how it rhymes. Great job - 5/5
