We Have the Rest of Eternity

by LostLikeTearsInRain   Apr 9, 2007

I await the day my dear,
That we can walk down lover's lane
Once more hand-in-hand looking into each other's eyes
And feeling the sun's rays on our faces,
And as we stop I would bend down and kiss you on the Brim of your nose,
And just hold you there for hours
Time would go by us,
Seasons would pass,
Years would flash before us
We would get gray hair and wrinkly skin,
But our hearts would never grow too old for each other.
I let you go once,
But never again, this time it's for keeps.
And when it comes time to die,
We could die together,
Letting our love take us away
WE could then walk to heaven's gates
And watch them swing open.
We would have the rest of eternity to never let go.
WE would have the rest of eternity to make our own definition of love.
And we would have the rest of eternity to embrace true love

A very sentimental poem with fragments of touching love in detail.
