Change

by The Undoing   Apr 11, 2007

In night it seems it is my time
time to go away, and not come back
Back to this, what you have made
made into the dark side of the moon.

It gets dark and it gets cold
Cold enough to make you cry
Cry about your failure and mistakes
Mistakes that made me go away.

But I miss your soul
Soul, seen through eyes
Eyes that knew me too
Too well to stay.

Your voice still acts as guide
Guide of my life, actions and choices
Choices made after I left you
You know that you live forever in me.

I leave in a sad state of mind
Mind you that was not uncommon here
Here where you stay, and I ask how
How can one person cause so much pain

If I give up, I lose, you win
Win back my feelings and pain
Pain that you never saw or tried to change
Change - what you never wanted

This poem was sick bro - I loved the way you wrote it and how everyline began with the word that ended the last. Excellent job as always with some sweet flow. 5/5
