A Rose

by Avan Ahmad   Apr 13, 2007

"He loves me"
"He loves me not"
Petals after petals are picked
Hoping for the last to be her answer
The answer that she has been wanting

The rose might tell her
That he still loves her
That he wont let her go
That he will stay with her forever

Forever
Together they will be
In each others arms
They will melt
And their love will never die

As she picks the petals
Tears come down from her eyes
Her heart beats faster
Anxious for the answer

She is down to the last petal
But she stops herself
Taking a look at the rose
She sees similarities
Between her and the rose

Just like her heart
It is innocent
Dead
Fragile
Now she leaves the rose
Leaving it with one petal

    Wow avan,
you got inspired by my poem but who told u to do it better thatn mine? lollllllllllll
very beautifuly done. yet the message is so confusing, i believe you love a person so much and yet he dont love you as much as i do, that is why ur killing that much flowers, lol. that is just how i see it, but you dont have to kill any flower as taht person is a folish who do not respect a love from you. you deserve the best.
keep it up as you became a great poet recently.
