Can't Fly With Broken Wings

by Viola   Apr 15, 2007

You holding me
It felt so safe
And in your arms I was
Like a butterfly in her cocoon
Your arms my shelter
The chrysalis so pure
And so innocent inside
Hides the tender butterfly
Who awaits her turn
To shine into the world
But one day you left me
And no longer did I feel
Your safe arms around me
Your comforting warmth
And so the small butterfly
Left to face the world on her own
Must now learn how to deal alone
But I just can't seem to spread my wings
Cause the day you left
You broke me into so many little pieces
And I can't fly with broken wings
I can't seem to get up from where you left me
So I try, try to lean on anyone else
But no one stops to help me
And I can't spread my wings
And oh I can't fly without you
Can't fly with broken wings...

Yeah nobody can fly with broken wings, man and woman are made with one wing so they can hold eachother and fly together :)
