Falling Apart

by Poison Ivy   Apr 19, 2007

His eyes,
Bled an image of her,
Tainting my napkin at dinner,

Silence has filled the room,
Making my presence undesirable,
Oh, how my heart burns in resentment,

I stand before him,
Weak at heart,
Still hoping to find a trace of our past,

But one cannot hold the wall by itself,
In time ones strength wears out,
Finally tumbling to the ground,

I walked behind his shadow,
Kept my pain isolated in the dark,
Built my whole world around him,
Just to see it fall apart.
