It started with a kiss
in the back row
i was over it in no time
i had no problem letting you go

you called a few days later
it was here you asked me out
i figured whats the big deal
but deep down i did have doubts

it only lasted a little while
i had to change my mind
i figured it was for the best
unaware of what i might find

we stopped talking for a while
i dated your best friend
you threatned to beat him up
cause your feelings had no end

eventually him and i,
we broke that one off too
and you called me from up north
echoing the words "i still like you"

i was caught a little off guard
after all, we had been apart
but you told me that you knew it was true
you could feel it in your heart

those summer months
went by so slow, it was you i never saw
until one day at a party
you were hanging out by the bar

you came up to me with your eyes all red
your words all slurred together
i managed to make out 5 little words.
"ill f**king love you forever"

for the days that followed
i tried to convince you that you weren't right
but you turned to me one night and said
a drunken mind speaks a sober heart
