Such a sad poem. I simply wanted to say, "Aww" out loud because the strong emotion of sadness from the girl is vividly conveyed.

"That mean old man in the black dress
He said for them to share the girl
As if she were some sort of toy
Or maybe a jewel, perhaps a pearl"

I really liked the first line here. The phrase "mean old man" really makes it sound like it's coming straight from the girl - which I'm presuming was the effect you were looking for. The reference to the "dress" also shows this.

This poem was beautifully sad, The emotion was strong throughout this poem, So strong yet so sad. The whole poem was nicely written i enjoyed the flow and the ryhme. but best of all i loved the emotion as you portrayed her feelings really well. Good work here~mel 5/5
