The Pain of a Lost Love

by Mimi   Apr 22, 2007

It hurts that you don't talk to me and always look away.
I don't know what I did to make things be this way.
I can't bear seeing that smile that used to make me glow.
I can't endure watching hope drip out of me so slow.

It pains me to think that you never even cared.
The damages of this pain cannot be repaired.
Recalling the way you looked at me with those loving eyes
Causes anguish so severe it could end with my demise.

All the hurt inside me mulls into a grey trance.
Feelings of hate and disgust cloud this dead romance.
Mixed emotions of indifference help get me through each day.
But somehow I know that after this all will be okay.
