Waiting

by annabel   Apr 23, 2007

If she is lost, she doesnt want to be found
As she watched the clock tick over, she waited
She waited to hear your voice
Just a sign to know that you were still there
Minutes pass, she starts to get anxious
She only wishes that you would walk through that door
Hearing footsteps, her heart sinks when she turns around, it is not you
She starts to give up and then hears your voice
Her heart beats faster, as she stops what she is doing
She listens to the sound of the music, realizing who is playing
Silently she gets up, pretending not to notice, even though you are all she notices in this crowded room
Putting away her belongings, sitting down, she watches him
Giving her that one last glance and without a second look you get up and leave
As the hours go by, she doesnt see you
She cant help but think there must be something wrong with her
If she was ever to lose you, she would lose everything
She cant even give out the words to her friends
Let alone to you personally
She cant be more obvious, in the way she presents herself
Surely everyone else can see
Why cant you?
Is it that you wish it wasnt true?
Or that you truly feel the same for her
She doesnt want to let you go
Could you do her a favour and give her one chance
Look into her soul and find out the un-known
All she wants is to love you and be loved back
To hold you and never let go
