My Lover

I opened up a new chapter,
Started something new,
I've let go of the past,
My future now with you.

Overwhelmed with happiness,
That you bring to my heart,
I fell in love with you,
Right from the start.

With you my life begins,
'Till death do us part,
Always by yourside,
Loving you with all my heart.

You rescued me from death,
Brought life into me again,
Showed me true happiness,
My lover, my wife and my friend.

    The last stanza was flippin' brilliant. The poem flowed smoothly and wasn't hindered much and then BAM! the last stanza just hits the reader hard. Great write.
