Words

Through all this pain and loneliness
One person shines through
She can always relieve the stress
When I am feeling blue
The words don't come easy
But i do not doubt them
i start to feel queasy
When the words don't come out
But i feel them in my heart
even though i can not say
I don't know how to start
to tell how i feel this way
even if i said these words
they would get me nowhere
her heart is somewhere else
and theres not much i can do
but sit back and watch
as she goes through the pain
of heartbreak and suffering
it hurts me to know
that i can be nothing more
then just a friend in the shadows
and i can just sit back and watch
till she realizes
she's better off without him
but ill never live up to him
if she came to me
but the words wont come out
and my suffering continues
but i will stay strong till that day comes
when i can tell her how i feel
even though it wont mean a thing
a guy can only hope.
