Perhaps
it was real
for a second
it made me believe
that something could be so real
without you even meaning it to be
that fortunate accidents
may really occur
that even
when your not looking
someone could be there for you
waiting on true love to find its path
for a second it made me believe
that true love is meant to be
falling fast
wanted nothing more than his arms
to be embraced
to see his eyes light up
to know he truly loved me
this wasn't a game
a teenage feeling
for just a second
a day
a week
I felt like he truly cared
that he cared about me
he didn't see my flaws
that were apparent to everyone else
it turned out
it wasn't real
it wasn't real to me
or to him
it just wasn't meant to be
it wasn't meant to last
or to even be there
our almost romance
died before it started
just a page in a book
will he be
a simple report
of what was almost meant to be
