She's been searching

by Raydeen   May 1, 2007

Now let me tell you,
she's been searching in the bottom of each bottle,
then she gets in her car,
she pushes it past full throttle.

she's been searching for so long now,
she sits and drinks all alone.
and you make it worse,
everytime you pick up that phone.

drink one always burns,
nothing found there,
here goes another,
but she's starting to think of your hair.

drink two slides down a little better,
nothing found here,
this is the way you found her she remembers,
and almost lets out a tear.

drink three heats her blood,
but again nothing,
her memory gets fuzzy but she keeps going,
she knows she was searching for something.

drink four she gets a bit of a buzz,
what was she looking for?
a man comes up to her,
they talk of going up to his floor.

drink five and shes drunk,
her blood is pulsing,
shes been searching for a year,
still nothing.

I've been telling her,
she won't find happiness,
not in the bottom of any bottle,
she says your name and lets out her sadness.
