Take a Look

by John Pickett   May 2, 2007

I look into you eyes
Maybe too close for comfort.

But I see down inside
How comfortable you think you are.

However deep inside
In those corners we never like to visit-

Lies your fears-Fear of caring-fear of responsibility-
Fear...to let someone new inside.

So much easier on your own
Never "needing"
But always "wanting"...searching for the heart
Somebody stole.

Turning stones, but never finding your hearts
True desire-
Your "hearts"desire that your sense of "logic"
Always hides from you.
Search the mind-slowly die
Search the heart-that's where it starts.
