Distance I

by John Pickett   May 2, 2007

Thought by now
I would not think of you anymore..
At least not as often as I still do.

Thought by now
I would not recall those once happy feeling
We once shared.

Of course now those feelings of happy and joy
Have now been replaced with misery and pain.

There are too many
Gestures that trigger my madness of you.

You ruined every song in my collection and many from the radio...
You ruined the weather from Winter to Spring And Summer into Fall.
You ruined the night sky ....the stars ...The Big Dipper
...don't pretend you don't know why or how.

I don't know why there is no distance from you...
There won't be distance if love still lurks in the shadows.
