Peaceful Night

Asleep together in our
warm bed; our dreams
of each other bring us
closer; the calm, quiet
room, our safe place at
night; your arms, those
smooth, strong arms,
protect me from my
bad dreams at night.

As we sleep there was
a bright flash in the
window. BOOM! Goes
the thunder, scaring me
to death; you wake from my
sudden movement; holding
me so tight; those arms around
me; your voice so sweet; I fall
back asleep in your arm. My
dreams of you, keep me safe,
keep me warm.
