A Taste Of Ocean

by Vegetable   May 6, 2007

She walks where the ocean brakes,
along a faulty shoreline.
At first, the waves just lick her feet.
Before they swallow her up.
The water itself, pulsates through her veins.
Then, it rises to touch her face.
She wants desperately to scream and cry,
but the ocean is drowning her voice,
and swallowing her tears.
It wraps her tightly, in knots of seaweed.
And pulls her to the ocean floor.
Each beautiful shell, she carefully collected,
torn from her wanting hand.
His body, coiled around her.
His fingers, tearing through her hair.
So similar to this violent place,
where the land sinks down to a deeper world.
But so soon, all the waves are gone,
and so are all the shells.
Nothing but the memories her mind conjures,
to remind her of this oceanic hell.
