Contradictions

by Neme juste un jouet   May 9, 2007

*an old poem in my old, dead style*
Just to let you know
I'm closed to fixed
As broken could ever be
I'm closer to the end of the day
And closer to the end of me
Ironically
Thank you for the wings
But without you, what good are they?
Without you, what good are these memories!?
I warned you
I can't keep my promises
But I promised to try
I warned you
I contemplate without thought
And I NEVER bite my tongue
I dream with open eyes
Come on baby,
Who was I?
I warned you, but still you came
You welcomed me into your embrace
"I will love you forever"
I swore
if that could ever be long enough
But forever doesn't seem long to me
I needed you to breathe
As you made me breathless
I was found in Our love
But was lost in your eyes
After you broke me, all I wanted
Was to cry
Without tears to grace my cheek
Understand Now, you never understood me
My love is not a simple glimpse
Into what could have been
Into that thing that then could be
Because honestly
It could have never been then
And can never be again
Tell me Now, who are are
Because I am seeing, but in Us, I was once blind
I am a hypocrite,
but at least in Us, I was right
Opposite is a world
Conquered by "love"
The simplest of nothings
that you easily discard
the only thing that tore me down, and built me up
The new me
Always contradicting

*Thanks Doll, I'm good now. This poem is just too brilliant to throw away, even though I cant say the same for some I had received.*
