The Garden

by Carly   May 12, 2007

I remember playing in the garden
and picking petals off a rose
Dancing through the flower bedds
with the dirt between my toes

I remember holding hands in the garden
with you smiling at my side
splashing each other by the fountain
and leaving the outside world behind

I remember marrying you in the garden
the perfect fantasy I once drew
Standing under a canopy of flowers
and exchanging our "I do's."

I remember the old days of the garden
but no matter how hard I try
Time has ruined its unique beauty
and the memories and good times will soon die

This poem flowed really well! I really enjoyed reading this one because it kept my interest all the way through. The third phrase was my favorite one. Keep writing! Great job!
