Ripples

by Soft Parade   May 16, 2007

Rippled water,
shimmering light.
Man-made fountains,
birds in flight.

A thousand blades,
green in uniform.
Statically obedient,
beautiful form.

Ancient soldiers,
givers of life.
Old and wise,
never in strife.

Fallen heroes,
brave in death.
Scattered color,
neatly set.

A wondrous land,
simple yet profound.
Spirits of old,
My spirit found.
