Crystal Sky

by Carly   May 19, 2007

Spinning and twirling
in a colorful masquerade
beneath a crystal sky
where chandeliers hang
Until one begins to sway
and crashes on the floor
The guests begin to scream
and dash for the door

One falls than two
crushing anyone beneath
The people who couldn't escape
their deaths had been brief

three fall than four
a terrific show of exploading glass
The guests line the wall
waiting for the masacre to pass

Five fall than six
the ballroom bursts into flames
burning the survivors
and the mansion in all its fame

Seven fall than eight
The fire fills the room like a flood
The floor forever stained
by the millions of puddles of blood

Nine fall than ten
No one knows how many have died
Dancing so innocentally
beneath the unstable crystal sky
