Evening Tide

by Jenni   May 20, 2007

Soft wind blowing my hair
I brush it from my face
Looking out across the lake
Sun setting a soft pinkish glow
The call of the loon echoes
Trees kissed with the dusks light
Fish jumping to catch the evenings fare
Raccoon running through the under brush
I sit upon the large rock waiting
For the moon to rise
Showering me in its light
Staring up at the stars
Wondering where it all began
Where we came from
And I begin to feel so small
Just a tiny piece in this great big world
I wonder again if I can make a difference
Some how make this world a better place
For all of the human race
Overwhelmed with my thoughts and feelings
I softly cry
Rising I dust my self off
Determined now to do something
No matter how small or large
To make a difference
To change the world
For the better
For all of humankind.....
