Standing Here

by SolelyGuitar   May 21, 2007

I love you but I hate you,
I can't tell which one is true
Your what I have left
My one and only choice
And to this day I still wonder
Would you take me under?
If you had the chance
Would I still be standing here?
These questions pile up
Fermenting in my head
This sweet tasting grape
Turning into wine
Getting me drunk
And confusing me

Peer pressure taking me
To another scene
I drop my morals
To fine myself
Starting to give in
After I was done
I was left in a trans
With an unspoken mind
Pouring out the whine
Until I passed out

I know I can't carry on
Too much longer
My legs are growing weak
But I'm still standing here
Holding your hand
Hoping you won't let go
Minutes passing by
The clocks on the floor
From are last fight
I'm sorry I didn't understand
Love was only a one-way street

So I'm still standing here
Watching your tears
As they run down you face
Catching each one
Within the palm of my hand
Never letting one
Reach your feet
I hold you head
Between my hands
Kissing your forehead
And holding you up
As your knees grow weak

I know you're here for me
And I'm here for you
And were standing strong together
Telling one another
Were meant for each other
