Enlightenment

by contorted   May 24, 2007

Deep inside among the greenery of the forest;
among the fitful chirping of the feral souls
camouflaging to a searching eye,
A limpid drop trickles down my stream of thought
and flows along the dark trail
beneath the canopy.

Accelerating, it moves towards the end of the world
The soil beneath heaves it to the air ahead
Where it floats like vapor in the clouds.
Crashing on the rocks below it shatters asunder
And sparkles in the sun like anything invaluable...
like the colors of the rainbow.

Then it floats down to the ocean...
towards calmness after much commotion...
towards enlightenment.
