Forgotten Love

by Amanda   May 26, 2007

A love so true,
A love so young.
Could it be ,
That he's really "the one?"

A huge gap is between them,
800 miles apart.
Yet is seems that still,
They have each other's heart.

What she wouldn't give,
If only for a moment in time.
To once again be in his arms,
Oh, if love was a crime.

Yes I'm sure that she would go,
To the depths of this earth.
Walk through fire for him,
Endure every hurt.

She longs to be with him,
Does he still long to be with her?
Perhaps she's overreacting,
After all, she's no longer his girl.

But these two once did have,
A young love so true.
One that everyone longs for,
How can life be so cruel?

How could she be taken away,
From the one she loved the most?
Why did he let her walk away?
He always said he'd fight,
No matter what the cost.

Perhaps too much time,
Has passed these two by.
Or perhaps love will come once more,
If they only try.

It's another day without him,
Another day without her sun.
She sits and waits for the day,
He tells her she's the one.
