I don't think the world is ready for such maddness,
The way we used to talk and give each other such weird glances.
It's hard looking back now and it's so hard to picture,
We come from two different worlds and we aren't a very good mixture.
I know even though you won't admit it some feelings are still lingering there,
You know even though I won't admit I actually still do care.
The way we walked and the way we talked together just wasn't right,
Even though I did enjoy staying up and talking till way past midnight.
I will keep my mouth shut and you will hide your feelings with a fuss,
We both have figured out that the world isn't ready for us.
