Never Expected it to be YOU

I've been hurt so many times before by many so-called friends
But I never imagined the day that I'd get hurt by my own best friend.

You told me you really luved me and you'd never bring me any pain
You even promised to stay by my side, wo why does it feel like all that went away?

At first I believed you'd never hurt me cuz you showed you really cared
But what happened to all the love we had? Where lays all the stuff we shared?

My heart was once revived with your words and it would sing every tune in a song
But all of a sudden a party came up and that's when everything went wrong.

I heard around that you were with some other girl and wouldn't let her go
But when they'd get the chance to tell me, I'd get up and leave because even if it were true I didn't want to know.

But what hurt me the most is that you admitted it true
My heart broke and sank! I just couldn't believe that out of all the people, it had to be you.
